Welcome

The Probus Club of Oundle is the oldest affiliated club in Oundle. The name “Probus” takes the first three letters from ‘PROfessional and BUSiness’. It has the advantage that Probus is a Latin word from which ‘Probity’ (the quality of having strong moral principles: honesty and decency), was derived.

We have an enthusiastic membership from a range of professions and backgrounds. We enjoy and recognise the importance of discussions and conversations between our members. The ethos of our club is strongly based on friendship, camaraderie and fellowship. 

We have a strong welfare ethos within the club and provide help and assistance to current and past members during times of difficulty.

On the 2nd Tuesday of the month we meet at the Oundle Golf Club for a coffee and a friendly informal chat.

On the 4th Tuesday of the month we meet at the Oundle Golf Club for a Luncheon preceded by a Speaker and followed by a Business meeting.

The Club is organised via a committee of members who provide administration, planning and direction of activities, though the full membership has the ultimate decision in what we do.
